Here are the challenges to be met:

The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing materials and parts needed to support the production line and repairs. This person will play a key role in the smooth running of operations by ensuring that the required materials and parts are available on time.

Your main responsabilities will be:

• Analyze purchase orders: Identify parts requirements and determine quantities and lead times required for production operations; 

• Issue purchase orders to suppliers: Place orders in compliance with part specifications and negotiated conditions;

•  Monitor delivery dates: ensure that deliveries meet agreed deadlines, and take corrective action in the event of delays;
•  Validate the progress of purchase orders: Monitor orders in progress, ensure their proper execution and contact suppliers if necessary;

• Manage supplier returns: Coordinate returns or exchanges of non-conforming or defective parts, in compliance with return policies;

• Purchase new tools: Research and purchase new tools or equipment required for production, based on identified needs;

• Update pricing in the system: Update pricing information in the supply management system to ensure accurate invoicing;

• Inform production team of supplier lead times: Communicate regularly with manufacturing to inform them of delivery lead times and anticipate impacts on the production line;

• All other tasks related to this position.

Do you have the necessary requirements?

• French and advanced English (oral and written);
  
• 2 years' relevant experience in a related field;
• Knowledge of trailer parts and heavy vehicle mechanics (an asset);
• Knowledge of Odoo ERP system (an asset).
