Procurement Director

The Purchasing and Procurement Director is responsible for analyzing, planning and managing purchasing while overseeing parts inventory to ensure availability of needed items and efficient production operations.
Tasks
Place purchase orders, ensuring compliance with part specifications and pre-negotiated conditions;
Analyze purchase orders to identify parts requirements, determine quantities needed and lead times required to ensure continuity of production operations;
- Monitor order acceptance dates and take appropriate action in the event of delays;
Validate de status of orders in progress and communicate with suppliers to ensure they are fulfilled;
Manage returns of non-conforming or defective parts, respecting return procedures;
Research and purchase new tools or equipment required for production, taking into account identified;
Update prices in the supply management system to ensure accurate and up-to-date invoicing;
Oversee prices in the supply management system to ensure accurate and up-to-date invoicing;
Carry out regular inventories and monitor discrepancies to optimize stock management;
Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to obtain competitive offers;

Collaborate with sales and service departments to anticipate and meet their parts needs;
Ensure smooth communication between departments to optimize company operations;
Inform the production team of supplier lead times and anticipate the impact on the production line;
Carry out all other related tasks associated with the position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
French and advanced English (oral and written);
5 years' relevant experience in related field;
Knowledge of trailer parts and or heavy vehicule mechanics (an asset);
Knowledge of aluminum and steel purschasing;
Knowledge of an Odoo ERP system (an asset).
